Meet The Team
Our President, Richard Beddall, is our third longest serving member and was our Chairman from
1985 - 1989. It was Richard who in 1987, oversaw the transition of the MVCG into the MVT charity it is today. He became MVT President in 1989 upon his retirement from the Chairmanship. |
Our Vice-Presidents are all long standing members
and supporters of the MVT: Senior Vice Presidents:Michael Burne and Pip Robinson. Vice Presidents: Charles Brittain-Jones, Steve Gascoigne, Nigel Godfrey, Preston Isaac, Paula Jeffries, Colin Smith, Rex Ward, Alistair Williamson, and Geoff Fletcher |
Our MVT Patron is the highly respected English historian, writer and broadcaster James Holland.
They are all ambassadors for the Trust
Our Council of Management is made up of 6 Trustees and 10 Co-opted Councillors, who are all military vehicle enthusiasts and who volunteer their time to carry out the day-to-day duties that keep the MVT running. They meet regularly, and since the pandemic we have found that remote meetings are not only more cost effective, but attendance levels are higher and Councillors from a wider geographical area find it easier to attend. Many take on specific areas of responsibility by becoming Officers with portfolios.
We also have a very hard-working team of elected Area Secretaries who run our network of over
30 local areas and also meet up at virtual meetings.
