We are lucky to be based around Woodhall Spa in Mid Lincolnshire also known as Bomber County.
The group has around 55 members and is still growing steadily with a good range of military vehicles to show off.
Most of the group take it seriously with the reenactment side of things but there are some that prefer to just be casual so there is a place waiting for everyone wanting to join our group. We have members that live some distance from the Woodhall Spa area that make a big effort to attend the meetings and events and we encourage others further afield to come and meet us. We have our meetings at Thorpe Camp between Coningsby and Woodhall where we hold them either in the NAAFI or outside on the picnic benches. In return we have a monthly vehicle meet at the camp and usually hold a meeting on this day at 3pm. You are not obliged to spend the afternoon there if you only wish to attend the meeting. Most Sundays during the season you will find some of the group at the camp. We have started Sunday morning breakfast runs once a month meeting at the Kinema in the woods then convoy to the Café a for a £5 breakfast and chin wag with ourselves and the locals. Once again you don’t have to turn up in a military vehicle to join us at the café. We are lucky to have RAF Coningsby, RAF Waddington, RAF Cranwell, Thorpe Camp, Metheringham Visitors Centre, IBCC, we’ll meet again museum, BBMF, East Kirkby Aviation all within a 10-mile radius. Our best events are of course the Woodhall 40s and Thorpe Camp 40s, both two-day events.
