About us - our charitable aims and our work
"keeping our mechanical veterans alive"
The Military Vehicle Trust is a charity and is proud be the largest group of ex-military vehicle owners and enthusiasts in the World and the only charity dedicated to "keeping our mechanical veterans alive"
The Trust is led and managed by our team of volunteers who serve on the Council of Management and our Area Secretaries, who run a network of locally based groups. Together, we strive to achieve the charitable object set down in our Governing Document or MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION
|
Our Charitable Aim or Object : “The Trust is established for the purpose of restoring and preserving military vehicles of historical interest and the preservation of books, drawings, records, documents, sound and visual recordings, films, photographs and other media and ephemera relating to such vehicles, their history and development, and promoting and encouraging the same aim in others.” |
We deliver this for public benefit, by preserving our vehicles for the future and by advancing the shared awareness of and interest in the history of our vehicles and how they contribute to our rich military heritage.
|
We also represent the interests of our members at a local and national level, lobbying Parliament, and other bodies whose actions and policies impact on our hobby, now and in the future.

As a registered charity, we are obliged to operate in accordance with the complex rules and regulations laid down by the Charity Commission.
