I’ve only been a member of the MVT for the last 10 years. However, ever since I was a child I have had an interest in most things military. I guess this started with my annual visit to Bovington for their Army Open Day. This was when the Chieftain was the latest main battle tank, the Stalwart a new amphibious lorry and the Scorpion a fast light tank ! In addition I have had a keen interest in WW2 history especially the war in Europe. Vehicle wise I own a Willys MB and Dodge WC51. I am now the Area Secretary for the South East Midlands. I feel we have a very dynamic area arranging guest speakers, road runs and right through to when we used organise the major military event, Wicksteed at War. |
