The Military Vehicle Trust is the World’s largest group
of ex-military vehicle owners and enthusiasts, and the only charity dedicated to "keeping our mechanical veterans alive". Our members own a wide range of vehicles, from armoured tanks to trucks and jeeps, motorbikes and bicycles, from all over the world and dating from WW1 to the present day. For the last 54 years, the Military Vehicle Trust has provided help and support to our members who have preserved thousands of military vehicles after their active lives with the Armed Forces. The Trust is run by volunteers who work together, to achieve our charitable aims, by promoting a huge range of activities that support our members and advance public knowledge and understanding of how our historic vehicles have contributed to our rich military heritage. You don’t need to own a vehicle to join us; many reenactors, living historians and vehicle enthusiasts are active members. Why not join today? |

Our work covers three key areas, each of which reflect our core values:
Restore and Conserve
Our collective expertise and experience provide mutual support to help members develop the technical skills required to overcome the challenges encountered when restoring, maintaining and running their vehicles. This work ensures that our vehicles will survive for many years to come and will continue to contribute to the legacy of our military heritage. The authenticity of our vehicles is reflected in frequent requests to attend events and for film and TV work. |
Educate and Inspire
Each year, our members organise and attend hundreds of events, school visits and ceremonies, up and down the country and abroad. When we exhibit our vehicles in this way, we showcase the important role played by our historic vehicles which is of great educational value to the general public. This contributes to the advancement of the public knowledge, understanding and appreciation of our rich military heritage. |
Honour and Respect
In addition to showcasing our historic vehicles, we also pay tribute to the men and women who built, maintained, and used them. We help foster appreciation of all our Armed Forces and commemorate their service to the nation. We are proud of our association with organisations such as the Royal British Legion, The National Memorial Arboretum and Armed Forces Day and attend many of their events up and down the country. |
