DATA PROTECTION POLICY

                                

 

This document is part of our data protection policy statements for compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) & General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR). We are a charitable organisation dedicated to the conservation of ex military vehicles. We are a membership led organisation, run by volunteers for no remuneration.

 

The MVT has internal procedures in place to keep member’s data as safe as possible. This document contains  the internal compliance and enforcement for data protection.

D1.      All persons permitted to hold an MVT database (full or partial) must complete and sign the MVT’s data protection safe keeping form (MVT-DP04) called -DECLARATION - BY PERSONS OR COMPANY/ORGANISATION IN RECEIPT OF AN MVT DATABASE and return the form to the MVT Council of Management (CoM), email: data@mvt.org.uk

D2.     No member shall give a copy of any part of the MVT database to any other member without first obtaining written consent from CoM’s representative, the Data Protection Officer (DPO)

D3.     Any member who holds an MVT database, but is not authorised to do so must hand back the copy of the database to the MVT CoM (or otherwise confirm to have destroyed it whether held in electronic form or hard copy.)

D4.      The MVT’s principal Officers; Chairman, General Secretary or Treasurer may rescind authority from a person, company / organisation to hold all or part of an MVT database.

D5.     All MVT members have the right to view a copy of the data held about them on the MVT database. This data can be reviewed and updated by the member via the MVT website (https://www.mvt.org.uk). For individual requests about any MVT data related matters you can contact us by email; The MVT Data Protection Officer, Email: data@mvt.org.uk.

D6.     Any person in receipt of an MVT database shall take reasonable steps to ensure that the data is kept secure at all times.

D7.     Use of the MVT database is authorised for contacting members for official MVT purposes only.

 

D8.     The MVT shall comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and all other current and future UK Data Protection legislation.
