1944 Willys MB Jeep owned byJohn Le Page
Jeep

The Jeep has chassis number 401963 (December 1944)and was issued with US Army registration 20668483 (January 1945) which would mean it is likely that it served in the European Theatre although, as is usual with American vehicles, there is no evidence.

After the War it was taken into the Norwegian Army on the 1st September 1950 and served with Infantry Regiment No 2 (Oslo) until the 23rd January 1961 when it was moved to Infantry Regiment No 1 (South East side of Oslo Fjord)

The Jeep was sold at auction as ‘part of a lot’ on the 2nd October 1985, then bought by Gunnar Jahr on the 15th of November 1985 and went into private ownership.

On the 23rd October 2004 it was exported to the UK and was bought by me on the 4th November 2004. From then it has undergone a major restoration to the US Army Jeep of 1944 with work on the engine and body. This work continues.
