My jeep is a Hotchkiss M201.
When bought over a year ago, it was in American markings.
The "purist" in me decided that as it was a French made jeep, it should be in French colours.
The sanding down revealed that it had also been "airbourned" since it's release from service, which explained the removable steering wheel and adapter.
This is a 1963 model, rebuilt at La Maltourn'ee 1972 (data from Andy Carter's web site) and rebuilt gearbox 1987.
Basically, everything French had been discarded, ie. Klebers, steering wheel, wiper motor, cushions, data plates etc.
It took a while but I've managed to find nearly everything I needed through either donations, swaps or reasonably priced by MVT members (thanks again).
All I need now fellow members is a MALT 1972 glovebox plate and a French winter kit.
I would like to return it to it's first units markings, so if you know anything about my jeeps history, please e-mail me.
