The Military Vehicle Trust ( MVT ) members look after and restore the whole range of ex military vehicles with both UK and overseas origins. Vehicles include the well known jeep through
to tanks, transporters, lorries, landrovers, motor bikes, the humble folding bicycle and range from pre First World War to the present day
MVT members pay particular attention to the authenticity of vehicles, equipment and displays. Our events are of educational value for members of the public and we try to ensure that the younger generations are aware of our heritage and the debt we owe to all branches of the armed forces. All members are proud of the standard of their vehicles and this is reflected in the frequent requests for vehicles for film and TV work.
Members of the MVT in 45 plus local areas hold informal monthly meetings that provide a forum for members to discuss just about any topic they want. Wherever you are, you can be sure there is another member who can help or who knows someone who can. Local areas organise social events, outings and local shows.
As many members are ex-services, there are close ties with ex-servicemen's associations. In particular many areas have close involvement with the Royal British Legions poppy appeal with members and their vehicles supporting the collection points.
The Military Vehicle Trust has a very active club shop and offers a vehicle verification scheme with our DVLA authorization.
No club can prosper without a club magazine and we are justifiably proud of the reputation of our own magazine WINDSCREEN published quarterly. It contains articles and information; everything the Military enthusiast needs.
Supporting the magazine is our GREENSHEET newsletter published bimonthly. It contains vehicles and equipment for sale and wanted by our members, all the late breaking news and a listing of all events which may be of interest to our members.
You do not need a vehicle to join, just an interest. See our join page for a full list of benefits
